SPCA Op Shop St Heliers: op-shopping by the beach

St Heliers is one of Auckland's more polished seaside villages, its shopping strip lined with cafes and boutiques a block back from the beach. The SPCA op shop sits among them on St Heliers Bay Road, sharing the area with at least one hospice shop and a handful of other secondhand outlets.

As with every SPCA store, this one exists to fund the organisation's animal welfare work — donated clothing, homeware, kitchenware, linen, toys and furniture get sold on, with the proceeds going toward rescue, rehoming and veterinary care.
