Manurewa and neighbouring Takanini form a fast-growing part of South Auckland along the Great South Road corridor, with a mix of established residential streets and newer housing developments. This Family Store — operating under the Southmall Family Store name — trades from Great South Road, serving that stretch of the community.
It's run as part of the Salvation Army's national Family Store network, with proceeds supporting the organisation's wider welfare and social services rather than one specific local programme.
We found little in the way of independent customer reviews for this particular store during our search — it doesn't appear to have built up much of an online review footprint yet, whether on Google, Facebook or the smaller directory sites. That's worth flagging honestly rather than filling the gap with guesses.
It trades six days a week, Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 4:30pm, and is closed Sundays. Expect the standard Family Store range of clothing, furniture, homewares and books.
